ME.
Just over 13 years service in the British Infantry (RGJ) and left in 1999 so yeah I'm getting old now. After leaving the Army I started to become a fat civvy so started doing parkrun which then led to me competing for GB Age Groups in Duathlon racing at 2 European & 2 World Championships and then qualified for another Europeans until I had a complete breakdown at the end of 2018.
WHAT DO I WANT TO ACHIEVE?
Finished with the fast events and looking to get more into the endurance events and slow down a little and not give up completely. I'm hoping to get back to where I love being (out in the hills) with like minded people who can help me on this journey and make a few new friends.
WHAT CHANGES AM I MAKING?
A complete change of pace, event type and dragging myself out of my current comfort zone.
MY PLAN FOR 2020 AND BEYOND.
The plan for 2020 is just to survive it and after not running at all in 2019 really to get back and complete 1000 miles in the year (20 miles left to go) and now start prepping for 2021 Winter Fan Dance CF and then Summer Fan Dance Load Bearing for charity (Once we were Soldiers).
MY PERSONAL PROMISE.
I will commit to my training and I aim to achieve as close to 3 hours as possible on the Summer Fan Dance and not be shit!
