ME.
Retired Soldier, Cadet leader, D of E Coordinator, Pastoral Tutor, Cub Leader, School Governor, Vice Chairman of Local RBL, Mountain Bike Leader, Marathon runner, cyclists, walker, husband father , son. Occasionally there is some down time. But to get Me time, I get up and run before the family wake up, and then shower and go to work. Those early hours of running keep me fit , physically and mentally, by giving me time to banish the demons. I always say I will stop trying hard things when I grow up, 3 years from 50 this hasn't happened.
WHAT DO I WANT TO ACHIEVE?
I am enjoying half marathons at the moment, but I am signed up for the Brighton full next April, and I want to do sub 4 after that who now's, apart from trekking the fish river canyon (Namibia) in 2020.
WHAT CHANGES AM I MAKING?: I need to change my nutrition and be slightly more scientific in my training, at 47 doing the squaddie thing of running balls out is still producing results, but the recovery is getting harder.
