ME.
I have always done a bit of running here and there but never taken it seriously before. Then in 2014 I went to cheer on my step dad Paul at the Para’s 10 in Colchester and I said to myself I would one day take part and a year later in 2015 I did. It took me 2 hours 22 minutes but I did it. After that I decided to carry on running and in 2016 went back to so the same race knocking 30 minutes off my time from the previous year, needless to say I was over the moon. That same year I took part in my first half marathon, certainly something I never thought I would do. In 2017 I was persuaded by my step dad to take part in the Para’s 10 but this time to TAB. Never in a million did I expect to do that but I did and in May 2018 I will be taking part in my first full marathon in Liverpool and the Great North Run and I firmly believe if it wasn’t for that first time at the Para’s 10, my step dad & the amazing and inspirational people I have met along the way, Karl included not only would I not have lost the 2 stone in weight but I would not of achieved any of the things that I have and will hopefully continue to do.
