ME.
50 year old husband & father of 2 fantastic children that drive me on to try and be better each day. I retrained midlife to be an Osteopath to help others (6 hard years of studying and working. I qualified as an Osteopath in 2011) and now juggle a career as an IT Consultant and an Osteopath. I thrive on educating others to reach their full potential – I assist with coaching children’s Rugby & Swimming. I try and maintain my own identity and acknowledge we all have challenges that others do not see or know about, so judge no-one by their cover - know the person.
WHAT DO I WANT TO ACHIEVE?
To remember that life is a journey and that the bumps only serve to help make us stronger and a better version of ourselves if we are in the right mindset. Our mind is an incredibly powerful part of our bodies and all too often we neglect our Mental Health and fail to achieve our best. I want to be mentally stronger and better version of me.
I want to complete the AEE Test March Series and continue with Aimee’s journey into hiking and tabbing in the hills along with her swimming and studies to hopefully pursue a career as a Doctor.
Train and race against Scott in a couple of triathlon’s as he’s now decided he can challenge the old man J Bring it on young man … you maybe a far better swimmer but I’m older, wiser and I will win J All the while trying to engage and support Scott with his GCSE’s which for a teenager with ADHD and an environment where there has been next to no schooling due to the Covid19 crisis is somewhat of a challenge!
So 2020 - I hit 50!!! After last year’s Double Brutal Triathlon, I decided I needed to find a way of finding my own identify again and want to train the whole body, therefore I’ve embarked on training for Sealfit Kokoro which will require all round physical fitness along with a tough mental attitude – date of attendance is to be reviewed due to Covid19 crisis.
Keep helping the swimmers of Folkestone Sports Centre Swimming Club achieve their goals, working with the rest of the awesome team of coaches and helpers that make the club an inclusive supportive environment.
Continue to help the ARFC youth teams where I can and continue working at surfing – still a life dream to surf smooth and efficiently!
All the while I want to see my children grow and flourish and reach their full potential - which is all I want for anyone - #bethebestyoucan
WHAT CHANGES AM I MAKING?
Focusing on what is really important in life and ensuring that my family achieve their own goals as individuals - don’t follow or copy me be your own person with your own goals.
MY PLAN FOR 2020 AND BEYOND.
Help family, friends, work colleagues and patients achieve their goals and #bethebestyoucan
